F&B Service Helper / Delivery

Fulltime, Permanent

Location: Mossleigh, Alberta

Reports To:

The F&B Service Helper / Delivery will report to the Sous Chef, Executive Chef and F&B Manager

Job Overview:

F&B Service / Delivery prepare, heat and finish cooking simple food items, answer phone calls or sms via tablet device, ring the order, deliver food, clear tables, clean delivery areas, wash dishes, and perform various other activities to assist workers who prepare or serve food and beverages. They are employed by restaurants, cafés, hotels, fast food outlets, cafeterias, hospitals and other establishments.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Take customers’ orders by following proper telephone etiquette via landline phone and tablet.
  • Ring the orders taken. Ensure that kitchen staff is aware of the orders.
  • Prepare take away and delivery food items such as pizzas, chicken wings, sandwiches, hamburgers, fries, salads, ice cream dishes, milkshakes, and other beverages.
  • Assemble, and wrap food, condiments and place it inside the thermostat delivery bag.
  • Use equipment to prepare hot beverages such as coffee and tea specialties.
  • Stock delivery area: such as to go boxes, bags, plastic utensils, portion condiments, to go cups, and liquor cooler.
  • Keep records of the quantities of food used.
  • May receive payment for food items purchased.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the delivery vehicle.
  • Clear and clean tables and trays in eating establishments
  • Bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and set tables.
  • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and in serving areas.
  • Remove dishes before and after courses.
  • Perform other duties such as scraping and stacking dishes, carrying linen to and from laundry area and running errands.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Some secondary school is usually required.
  • On-the-job training is provided.
  • WHIMIS
  • The ability to multitask.
  • Movement into other occupations within food preparation and service, such as cook or waiter, is possible with further training and experience.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Mossleigh, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
