General Maintenance Worker
Reports To:
The General Maintenance Worker will report to the Maintenance Lead.
Job Overview:
It is important that the general maintenance worker be intimately familiar with all activities of the maintenance shop and be prepared to help in all aspects of the maintenance duties.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Operate power equipment including (but not limited to) lawn tractor, skid steer, chain saw
- Work with hand tools, power tools, and small engine equipment
- Work outdoors in various conditions
- Snow clearing both plowing and pedestrian
- Work successfully both independently and within a team environment
- Assist supervisor in work-related tasks
- Adhere to good housekeeping on the job to ensure a clean and safe workplace
- Work well under pressure
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all time
- Effectively communicate, both verbally and written
- Be dependable with a good attendance and safety record
- Maintain confidentiality of maintenance shop operations
- Posses general knowledge of all aspects of Aspen Crossing including Train Excursions, Campground, Caboose Cabins, Diefenbaker Dining Car, Berquist House Tavern, Greenhouse, Mother’s Day Sale, Train Days, Music Festival, Train of Terror, Christmas Market and Polar Express
