Train Associate – Server 

Part-time, Seasonal

The Train Associate will report to the Train Manager.

Job Overview:

Train Associates will engage with customers by first and foremost warmly greeting them. Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times. Communicate using a positive and clear speaking voice, listening to understand the requests, and providing accurate information is essential.

Train Associates will provide product recommendations, answer questions, alert customers to product options and expand sales revenues by up-selling product accessories.

The Train Associate is responsible for taking food orders, placing these orders with kitchen staff, serving the prepared meals to tables, and collecting payment. To be successful as a Train Associate you must have patience with difficult customers and ensure that patrons have an enjoyable experience. A good Train Associate remains calm and efficient during busy shifts and works well in a team.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Welcome customers and hand out menus
  • Inform customers about specials on offer
  • Take down beverage and meal orders
  • Place orders with kitchen staff
  • Serve prepared meals to customers
  • Prepare the bill and process payments
  • Ensure all cash handling procedures are met
  • Maintain cleanliness of the train daily
  • Follow all safety protocols

Requirements:

  • Excellent coordination – do not suffer from motion sickness
  • Ability to work long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic mathematic skills
  • Stamina to stand and walk throughout shifts
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • ProServe
  • Alberta Transportation Training will be provided
  • Maintain confidentiality of Aspen Crossing operations

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

  • Mossleigh, AB T0l1P0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
